The best choice for a good ebook compiler. by raman chauhan

The best choice for a good ebook compiler. SO WHAT IS AN EBOOK COMPILER?

You've written and revised your ebook, hired an artist who has produced outstanding graphics, and now you're ready to actually put together your ebook. What you need to make an ebook is software called an ebook Compiler.

There are many different compilers to chose from, but first, you need to know exactly what an ebook Compiler does. Here is the simple explanation: An ebook compiler is a software program that converts either text pages or HTML text into a single executable file or an ebook.

If you or someone you hired has created a file with graphics in HTML, you will need an HTML ebook Compiler. This type of compiler requires a working knowledge of the HTML tag language. You can also use software to do this for you, such as Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver.

CHOOSING AN EBOOK COMPILER?

There are a large number of ebook Compilers available on the market, all with glowing sales copy and tekkie language. It can get very confusing and overwhelming very fast without some simple guidelines to help you figure out which compiler is right for you.

5 TIPS FOR CHOOSING AN E BOOK COMPILER

1. How did you create your pages? Did you use HTML or PDF format? There are many more compilers available for HTML, but you can find some very good compilers that will convert your PDF files into an ebook.

2. Consider how easy the program is to use and the thoroughness of the software's instruction manual. It is absolutely necessary that the compiler you buy have an instructional manual, documentation, or online "wizards." If it doesn't, your chances of figuring out how to correctly use the program are compromised, and the time required doing so is going to be significant. Many manufacturers of compilers offer a free trial version so you can play around with it and see if it suits your needs. Download the trial version and ascertain that it actually does what it claims to do.

3. Security features. If you plan to sell your ebook, check out the security features of the compiler software carefully. Security features should include: prevention of the reader from modifying text, access only to the pages you assign or by entering a password, different ways of generating passwords such as secure passwords, user-friendly, and open passwords.

4. Supported scripting. Find out what scripts the software supports. Scripting allows you to create special effects, customize menus, and create and modify other user interactivity. Choose a compiler that permits you to include graphics, search windows, hyperlinks, forms, surveys, etc.

5. Pricing. This is a factor that is not always easy to gauge. The highest priced compilers are not automatically your best choice. Choose your compiler based on the necessary requirements for your Ebook. That means you need to know exactly how you plan to use your Ebook and what functions you require.

Let's look at some of these factors in more detail. First of all, make sure you have the correct browser to run the compiler. The majority of HTML compilers use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape. Check out the version that the compiler supports. Compilers that require a browser will not run on a computer that does not have the required browser installed. However, there are ebook HTML compilers that don't require you to have any browser installed on your computer. These compilers run on any Windows system.

If you choose a compiler that requires a browser, check to ascertain that the browser is installed correctly and that it is properly configured to the specifications of the compiler. Check to see if certain functions are turned off or on, and make any adjustments according to the compiler instructions. regardless of whether you plan to sell or give away your ebook. One of the main reasons for using a compiler is to prevent the reader from modifying the contents. A secure compiler allows access only to the pages you want the user to access unless they enter a correct password.

To find out how secure an ebook HTML compiler is, open an ebook on it. While it is open, check the temporary directory of your computer. Typing in C:\Windows\temp can usually access this. If you see a bunch of files when your ebook is open or running, it means that your computer is decompressing the secure data from your ebook before showing the ebook to the viewer. This method is not secure! It means that anyone with the knowledge of how to access these temporary files can steal the secure data and then they can fiddle with your ebook to their evil heart's desire. Remember that one of the main purposes of buying and using an HTML compiler is to protect your property.

Next, let's discuss passwords. When trying to choose an ebook Compiler, check out the type of passwords that the compiler supports. Almost all compilers offer some kind of password protection that insures that the user can only access the contents they have purchased from you. However, the best compilers offer varied ways to generate different types of passwords. Choose a compiler that gives you the options of secure, user-friendly, and open password generation.

Another important factor when it comes to passwords is how the compiler generates them. A compiler that has internal password protection generation built into the software is more secure than compilers that link to live Internet password control systems.

Find out if the compiler generates passwords online. If it has this option, it allows you to choose any payment processing system you want or to do the payment processing yourself.

Next, look into the size of ebook the compiler supports. The best compilers can create ebooks up to 2 GB in size without decompressing the HTML pages or images to your hard disk. Usually, ebooks that are 2 GB in size can easily support 6 GB of compressed data. The catch here is that only text files will generally be compressible.

You do not want a compiler that decompresses this amount of data when the user attempts to open your ebook. This would mean that anyone who purchases your ebook would have to wait for all the data to decompress before they can access your ebook right after downloading it. So look for compilers that only decompress temporarily files that are NOT HTML to the local hardisk. Non-HTML files include Flash, Word, and Acrobat files. This type of compiler is more secure and certainly faster.

Make sure the compiler you choose is compatible with your system software. Check out what version of Windows it requires, and make sure you have that version before buying your compiler. Support issues are extremely important. Choose a compiler that includes an installation program. This program allows your user to choose a number of different places on their computer to install the ebook, to place a shortcut on their desktop, and to add the ebook, if they choose, to the Start Programs menu.

You also want excellent and accessible vendor support. Make sure you can access quick technical support! At three o'clock in the morning, this factor will be VERY important. Also, check to see the terms of free technical support offered. Unlimited technical support is obviously the best option.

Check to see if the company that puts out the compiler software offers a service level agreement. This agreement is to assure you of their quality response to your questions or problems.

A good thing to consider is how long the compiler has been on the market. Usually, the version number will give you an idea. The longer the program is on the market, the higher the version number, the more bugs have been worked out.

When choosing an ebook compiler, do not be swayed by incredible promises and dazzling sales copy. Do your homework first, and then consider all the above issues and factors before choosing an ebook compiler.

What Is an Ebook? by kaptaatul

An eBook is an electronic version of a traditional print book that can be read by using a personal computer or by using an eBook reader. (An eBook reader can be a software application for use on a computer, such as Microsoft's free Reader application, or a book-sized computer that is used solely as a reading device, such as Nuvomedia's Rocket eBook.) Users can purchase an eBook on diskette or CD, but the most popular method of getting an eBook is to purchase a downloadable file of the eBook (or other reading material) from a Web site (such as Barnes and Noble) to be read from the user's computer or reading device. Generally, an eBook can be downloaded in five minutes or less. Although it is not necessary to use a reader application or device in order to read an Ebook (most books can be read as PDF files), they are popular because they enable options similar to those of a paper book - readers can bookmark pages, make notes, highlight passages, and save selected text. In addition to these familiar possibilities, eBook readers also include built-in dictionaries, and alterable font sizes and styles. Typically, an eBook reader hand-held device weighs from about twenty-two ounces to three or four pounds and can store from four thousand to over half a million pages of text and graphics. A popular feature is its back-lit screen (which makes reading in the dark possible).

Some eBooks can be downloaded for free or at reduced cost, however, prices for many eBooks - especially bestsellers - are similar to those of hardcover books, and are sometimes higher. Most eBooks at Barnes and Noble, for example, are comparable in price to their traditional print versions.

What on earth is an Ebook? by kaptaatul

Those of us that spend far too much time tapping away at a computer keyboard, often take for granted that our readers are as current as we like to think we are.

Take Ebooks, for instance!

Conservation oriented folks (and really, that should be all of us) will be glad to know that an Ebook is not made up of dead, pulped trees, but rather, is nothing more than the author's work, converted into a collection of electrons, which can then be viewed and read on a computer monitor.

An Ebook can be downloaded from a web site, saved to one's own computer, and then opened, stored away again, and then re-opened as often as desired, to be read when it's convenient for the reader.

At present, that reading will take place in front of a computer monitor though I don't think it will be too many more years before we're all carrying around electronic "readers" that will allow us to enjoy reading, eye strain free, the hundreds of Ebooks on all topics in the unit's memory, all without felling a single tree to make paper.

But Ebook readers are an article for another time.

Are you a writer? Want to get published quickly and inexpensively?

Let's say you've written the next great story. For some reason, you've not been able to get a publisher interested in publishing your best seller, and the cost of self-publishing on paper far exceeds your budget.

A low cost option is for you to publish an Ebook that contains your great story.

How do you do that?

Assuming that you've written your story using a computer rather than handwriting or typing it onto a piece of paper, the word processing program you've used will have enabled you to save the story in some sort of file.

You can use that file and convert your story into a .pdf file format.

A .pdf file is a Portable Document File (hence the acronym .pdf) which makes the document portable electronically. The .pdf can now be moved from computer to computer using the internet.

Why publish your Ebook yourself?

Converting your story or article into a .pdf file means that you can upload your own Ebooks to a website. Having your story or article as a .pdf on that site now makes it available to be downloaded by anyone in the world, either at no cost or for a fee, from that site.

Further, by creating a professional looking .pdf, the author can offer the reader virtually any size of typeface, almost any font style, include full color photographs and links to other media, including sound and video files.

Imagine, I'm reading your fantastic story and there's a locale somewhere in the world that is pertinent to the storyline. You have added a link in the text that takes me, the reader, to a website giving me all the details needed about that locale, or even to the author's own video or slideshow about that site.

The process of creating an Ebook isn't too complex though many authors will leave the technical side of publishing their Ebooks to others, preferring to concentrate on the writing rather than the publishing.

You can have your Ebook formatted, photographs added, videos or sound links created, have it converted to .pdf format, and offered for sale on your own custom website for sale for a remarkably low sum of money.

Yes, of course I need an article submission software . by kaptaatul

The adage "Work smarter, not harder" really applies to writing and submitting Ezine articles. Ezine articles are without a doubt one of the best ways to drive traffic to your affiliate site and to increase your SEO.

Whether doing a submittal manually or using an article submitter, the basics do not change. Before submitting to an article site one must register. This procedure is usually filling out an online form, and receiving a confirmation sent to your e-mail address. Click on this confirmation and you are a registered user. You log on to the submit site using your ID and password. Next, enter a Pen Name. Now you are ready to click on Submit Article.

It is at this juncture where an article submitter comes into play. Submitting manually gets the job done but is tedious and time consuming. An article submitter speeds up the data entry. Why is this important? It is generally accepted that to be a successful Ezine article writer, one must submit 2 - 3 articles per week to hundreds of article sites. Doing this by hand is simply not possible. Look at the author statistics on any site and you will see that the successful authors have submitted hundreds, even thousands of articles. They are making impressive monthly incomes.

There are many article submitter software programs on the market, Article Submitter, Article Submitter Gold, My Article Pro, My Article Submitter, and Article Money, to name a few. They vary in features, ease of use, and cost. Most offer a Free download for trial use. These are fully operational, but some limit the number of days the program can be used and others limit the size of the submit site database. Why do they give a Free download? So you can see for yourself the benefits of the program by hands-on use. For example, in my case I downloaded a Free trial version and used it to submit an article to several sites. I was impressed with my article being Auto-Filled instead of having to do the tedious cut and paste exercise. The trial program came with a database of 80 article sites, but I immediately ordered the full version with a database of over 600 sites. To me, the program was worth the price if for nothing more than getting the list of 600 sites to submit articles. Now I had the tool to quickly submit articles, complete with list of sites that would be continually updated. My time could now be better spent on writing new articles.

What should an article submitter NOT do for you? It should not be a robot spam type program. This type of submittal is frowned upon, a nuisance to the submit sites, and can get you banned from the best article sites.

What should a good article submitter do for you? It should let you go through the submit process step by step as you normally would, just making it easier and faster to make the submittal. Logging on to a site for the first time, requires a few steps whether manual or using an article submitter. One must enter the ID and Password, and select a Pen Name. Lets go through the steps and see where the article submitter saves time. Go to the article submit website. Immediately your ID and Password are filled in by the article submitter. You can go directly to Submit Article. Instantly your entire article is auto-filled, the Title, Author name, Summary, Body, and Resource Box. Stunning, no time consuming cut and paste. Manually select a Category, as this the only way to ensure that your article ends up in the correct category and sub-category. Click Submit, then Log Off. Your article will look totally hand submitted. The article submitter will automatically enter the submit date in your database, and give you a chance to type in a note or comment. No more pencil and paper notes covering your desk. Then, on to the next site. And where did the next site come from? The site database in your article submitter! The article submitter is a win-win, saving time by eliminating the tedious article cutting and pasting, and eliminating the time consuming chore of building your own list of article submit sites.

If you are not using an article submitter, you may very well be spending more than you are making. Quality articles quickly submitted to hundreds of submit sites is the key to being successful. There is a way to accomplish this. Yes, You Need an Article Submitter.

A diligent Follow Up is going to make your fortune! by kaptaatul

Would you blow your entire annual marketing budget on just one ad to run once during the Superbowl?

Of course you wouldn't. You know that people seeing your message just once wouldn't be enough.

Then why do we tend to spend our time and dollars on single-shot marketing, rather than repeated messages?

The answer is... most folks just don't know any better. Or, perhaps it seems boring to repeat your message over and over and over and over.

But the truth is, your fortune is in the follow up!

This past weekend I went to hear direct marketing master Bill Glazer (my marketing mentor who runs Glazer-Kennedy Inner Circle (along with Dan Kennedy) speak at a conference here in Los Angeles. During his talk, he shared with the audience how he spent the last few decades of his life running Baltimore's #1 retail men's clothing store, Gage Menswear, along with his late father.

Bill talked about one of his first direct mail campaigns, and how during the planning stages he announced to his dad that they were going to mail a special promotional offer to the same list not once, not twice, but three times. His father was appalled and yelled at Bill that he was crazy and was wasting their money!

Bill persisted and mailed all three pieces of the campaign. Well, their results revealed that mailing the exact same offer three times not only increased their response, it DOUBLED their response! Pop was floored, and he sure was delighted with the flurry of sales that came in. From that point on he also trusted Bill with their marketing dollars.

Why does repeating your message work? online newsletters writing

It's simple... people are inundated with messages every day. Last statistic I heard was each of us sees over 3,700 distinct messages a day! That means you need to repeat yourself over and over if you're going to break through the clutter, actually get their attention, get them to read or listen AND get them to respond.

Your assignment is to now look at all areas of your marketing and advertising in your business, and see where you need to add some follow up.

Some quick places to look at:

Your Ezines - Are you publishing your ezine enough? Once a month just doesn't cut it anymore. You should be reaching out and "touching" your prospects and customers at least once a week, if not more. (If you're running out of ideas or you're not sure how to do this without bugging folks, my ezine system takes care of that for you!)

Teleseminars and Live Events - When promoting events, you're going to need many more than one or two announcements or mailings. As a general rule, when I'm really trying to fill up a teleseminar (phone seminar) I sent out at least three emails dedicated to the promotion. For live events, you need dozens of messages, and well ahead of time. Most of the trainers I know start marketing no less than six months ahead of any live event they're hosting!

One-on-One Marketing - If you cold call or mail out letters to prospects, how many times are you following up? Don't be afraid to call or mail again. I myself have finally responded to an offer after I've been contacted several times, and was glad the vendor took the initiative to follow up.

Advertising - Instead of blowing your budget on a few large ads per year, try running a smaller ad much more often! Also most publications, both online and offline, will usually give you big discounts for purchasing more than one ad at a time. (I do this with ads in my own ezine, Straight Shooter Marketing.)

Remember, many marketing experts who test all these strategies say that repetition is the key. So don't even feel you have to be creative with your marketing - just saying or mailing the same thing over and over is better than not saying it or mailing it again.

Great Used Books Worth Looking At Again by Victor Epand

There are many wonderful used books on the market today that are offered at either used book stores, larger retail book chains, and at hundreds of web site selling used books. Some of these used books can either be first time editions, classics, or possibly last prints.

Many of the used books sitting on the shelves now would make very interesting reading that many avid readers may find hard to put down if they were to pick it up. Some of these used books include Exploring The Unknown by Stuart D. Scott, which is takes a wonderful look at the mysteries of this world. In 1993, Workman Publishing Company released a fabulous book that answered some of the toughest questions of life by Kathy Wollard, which was entitled How Come. This book is illustrated terrificly and would be worth looking for at your local used book store.

As you are browsing through the hundreds of used books at your local used book store, then you may discover all types of titles from the humorous to the serious to the weird. Of course, there is no way that even the avid reader could ever read every single book they every laid their eyes on, but there are many used books at your local book store just waiting for some one to take some interest in them. Many of these books are no longer in print and are worth picking up and taking the time to read each page. One of these books is the Readers' Digest Facts And Fallacies - Stories Of The Strange And Unusual, which was published in 1988, and is a collection of odd stories that have been totally researched, then presented in a well formed presentation. It may be hard for you to locate a copy due to it being out of print, but it would be worth adding to your personal library.

Several of the used books offered at your local book store have won awards or their authors have. Some such used books that are definitely worth checking into include The Whistling Season by Ivan Doig, Color Of The Sea by John Hamamura, and The Floor Of The Sky by Pamela Carter Joern, which have all won the Alex Award. These used books and many others might be a little bit dog eared and the pages could be a little yellow, but they are so well written and the stories hidden between the covers are worth reading.

It seems as if the older books have been written better than books that are currently being written in this modern day. Authors have trouble at time expressing their ideas clearly and will add extra adjectives in an attempt of creating a smooth transition, but instead it creates a book of adjectives. One of the greatest authors, in my personal opinion, that could most definitely get his point across to his readers so that they were able to actually feel like that could close their eyes and see what he was writing was Louis Lamour. The majority of his books and short stories are westerns, but he did write some poetry that will make your heart leap with his written words.

Creating bestselling ebooks in a day! by shakira

In this article I'm going to show you how to create a "HOT" selling info product in one day, by only writing five paragraphs.

Anyone on the planet can do that. So without further ado let's get started.

What we're going to do is utilize other people's hard work to create our very own unique products. Sounds too good to be true Doesn’t it? However this is a very real strategy that the top-gun e-book publishers use time and time again to create "HOT" selling products in lightning quick time.

Go to goarticles. com.

You see most web site owners write articles and submit them to article directories so that they get free publicity for their sites. At the end of each article is a link back to their own web site with a bit of information about their site for example. These site owners want people to take that article and market it to other people so they get visitors to their site without spending a cent on their marketing. This is perfect for savvy entrepreneurs who are willing to spend a few hours of their time in order to profit for many years to come.

What we can do at go articles. com is type in a niche in the search bar at the top right (make sure it's on "article content" rather than search by author). Type in your niche market. So for example type in "dogs", of "fishing" or whatever subject you are interested in. You'll get thousands of result related to what you have searched For. Now what I want you to do is simply trawl through the results finding at least seventy quality articles related to the dog or fishing or whichever market now copy and paste them into word or some kind of word processing application.

As I've said make sure these really are good quality articles. If you create an e-book using any old rubbish you'll get a sky-high refund rate and it will all have been a pointless exercise. Do it right from the off and you'll set yourself up for success.

If you can, try and tie all the articles together in one sub niche. For example a sub niche of dogs might be training your dog. So you could find articles on stopping your dog from barking at night, toilet training that kind of thing. The same for fishing, it could be ice fishing or fly tying Use a bit of imagination when using this method.

Email Article Authors

You mustn't use any articles without the authors' permission, that's plagiarism and could land you in very hot water. Remember the majority of articles will have been submitted so the author can get visitors to their site without spending a dime. However you don't want to breach any copyright laws. To avoid this email the authors of each article. Explain to them that you are creating an e-book aimed at their niche market, and that you would love to include their article in your e-book and that you'll include a link back to their site and information about them. Also ask them if they have any other articles you could include.

You can expert around seventy percent of authors you contact to be delighted you're going to include their article in your book. All you need to do then is discard the articles from authors who you haven't heard from or who won't let you use their article.

Put the articles in an order that makes sense and create a contents page. Use the titles of the articles as contents topics. You could even create chapters aimed at solving certain problems people in your niche have. So for example if you were creating an e-book on golf you could create a section on improving your golf swing, a section on the mind game of golf and so on. All the articles would make up separate chapters.

Finally write a short introduction and conclusion. This only needs to be a few paragraphs. Explain what they can expect to learn from your e-book and make sure you sign off using your name. You will instantly establish yourself as an expert in that particular niche. You can also link to your back end products at the end of the book to increase your sales.

Finally you need to turn it into an ebook to sell. Go to primopdf . com and download the software. Don't worry it won't cost you a cent. Once it's downloaded all you need to do is in your word software hit "file" and then "print" and then select "primoPDF" as your printer. Voila. You've just created an e-book using other peoples' hard work. This whole process can be done in just a few hours. Obviously you may need to wait a day or two for the article authors to get back to you but apart from that you're all set! Anyone can use this method to create more e-books than you'd ever be able to sell.

That's a great method right? I mean it won't cost you anything to create a product, yet you could sell hundreds if not thousands of copies and keep all the profits using other people's hard work!

Book Review for "John" by StephB

Written by: Cynthia Lennon
Hodder & Stoughton
ISBN: 0-340-89511-X
404 Pages
20 pounds
5 Stars

Cynthia Lennon starts her autobiographical tale reflecting on the death of her famous ex-husband, John Lennon and within the first chapter reveals two insights into John's personality that haven't really been discussed before in books about the Beatles. It's a catchy start to a heartwarming, sweet, yet tragedic tale.

As the book starts, Cynthia is a teenager beginning art college. Shortly thereafter she encounters John Lennon. The two make an unlikely couple. She was raised in a nice neighborhood to be a "good" girl and John Lennon is a teenager rebel with only one cause - rock and roll.

Cynthia points out they had several things in common in the book - they were both short sighted and bonded over losing their parents when they were seventeen. (Cynthia lost her father when she was seventeen and John lost his mother.) Soon, Cynthia and John embark on a relationship. Her love is what John needs. She's a steady constant in his life which is filled with uncertainty.

Cynthia is there before John and the Beatles make it famous. She talks of their humble beginnings and John's family. We learn John's Aunt Mimi, the woman who raised him, is a very totalitarian matriarch who very rarely showed John small, simple, loving gestures. John also has two younger sisters who adore him, Jacqui and Julia. There are so many sides to John. He's in love, yet has a ferocious jealous side to him. He can be kind and tender, yet John dislikes confrontation. An example of this is how Pete Best is told to leave the band. Brian Epstein breaks the news to Pete and John never sees him again.

Cynthia and John had been with each other four years before their son Julian is conceived. John marries her right before the Beatles begin to take off. As the Beatles ride the wave of fame, Cynthia is by John's side. It isn't easy for the couple, but their love gets them through.

The book shifts when Cynthia begins to talk of John's drug use. It's his use of drugs that drives a wedge between them. John's decline and destruction is sad to read about in such a personal way. The way he cuts Cynthia and Julian out of his life is quick, deliberate, precise, and very hurtful. Cynthia must find her own way with little financial support from John.

It's hard to put this book down. The beginning draws you in and the reader barely has a chance to catch their breath. Happiness quickly turns to misery, pain, and despair much in the same manner as the Beatles overwhelming success turns sour at the end of the sixties.

Cynthia offers fresh insights on a musical history that has been practically hashed to death by the number of books written by the Beatles. Her thoughts and impression on Yoko are not put out there in a mean-spirited way - instead Cynthia presents the facts as is and lets the reader come to their conclusions. This is a wonderful read for those who are true fans of the Beatles and John Lennon.

Book Review for "Case of the Missing Coach" by StephB

Written by: V. Gilbert Zabel
4RV Publishing, LLC
ISBN: 978-0-9797513-1-8
143 Pages
4 Stars

Zabel's youth filled adventure/mystery novel, "Case of the Missing Coach," challengers readers to solve the case right along with the main character, Ryan. It's fun, harrowing at times, but the reader can't deny Ryan's - or Zabel's - love of baseball which shines through the novel. It's a solid, youth story that all can enjoy.

The Jonesville Chargers are a youth baseball team from Texas. As the story opens, they are competing in a regional tournament. There's a core group of players, known as the "Base Stealers club," and Ryan is not only instrumental to the team, but his father is also the coach. After winning the regionals, the team starts to receive threatening notes and messages. Ryan and his friends decide to do an informal investigation to find out who is behind the threats. The team travels to Washington D.C. to play in the national championships. Security is tight, but the threats come true when one of the coaches is kidnapped. The team rallies together on and off the field. Ignoring the threats, the team advances to the finals. The air around the team gets tense as they struggle to keep up their morale. The FBI along with Ryan and his friends finally figure out where their missing coach is being held, but is it too late for the team to win the national championship?

Zabel's writing is deliberate. She intricately laces her clues into the plot with a deft touch that easily can sneak past the reader. The plot moves at a moderate pace, and doesn't linger. The action is immediate, fluidly moving from one scene to the other. The characters are likable, each with their own personality and Ryan, is infused with a curiosity the reader shares.

The author uses black and white pictures of boys playing baseball to frame the chapters which was appealing. The pictures also helped set the scene and tone of the story. Zabel also included a list of coaches and players in the beginning which was helpful as it tended to get confusing at times.

The story is told in the third person and the point of view is tight, switching with chapters. There’s a good blend of dialogue and narration that allows the story to move forward at a good clip. Zabel's story is a nice "feel good" young adult romp that will have the reader rooting for the Chargers from start to end.

* It is NOT MLM, Network marketing or a 1 or 2-Up Affiliate Program
* It Is a legitimate online business that offers software and memberships for sale
With IPC, members are in full control of their financial future and there are no limitations to the income they can make. With Independent Profit Center, they are on a level playing field. The IPC program is not designed to just create only a few top earners. It is designed to let everyone produce a high income.
The IPC Program is very simple to operate and a proven business model that does not allow people to fail. Here's how the Independent Profit Center works.
To start any business online a person needs a REAL product to sell. With the IPC program, members market The IPC Software Package which sells for $200.00 and it is delivered immediately upon purchase. When the purchaser receives their IPC Software Package they will also receive the full resale rights for the software itself which allows them to sell it over and over again and retain 100% of the profits.
IPC members can also take the software, use it personally, or resell it individually to build their income, and/or they can start their own Independent Profit Center business where they receive their own website. The IPC created website converts well and produces multiple $200.00 sales which are automatically deposited directly into the member's PayPal, LinkPoint, AlertPay, SafePay or Egold account.
Even if they are new to the Internet and have no knowledge of software it simply doesn't matter, IPC shows members how to succeed regardless of their experience. Complete training and support is provided by IPC.
So how does a business which costs hundreds and even thousands less to start than other programs produce such a large income in just a two day period?
Programs like EDC Gold, EDC Diamond, Perfect Wealth Formula, Road-map To Riches, TOCS, and Coastal among several others cost thousands to get into and operate. Once people are in these programs, they have to pass up or split sales with their sponsor or the owners. They also have to pay high monthly membership fees with each of these programs as well. Before they have a chance to make their first sale, they are already in the red for hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Many of these programs cost more that a person's mortgage or rent just to join. What happens when it doesn't work out for them? The fact is they do not need a program that costs thousands to generate thousands in income per month. The IPC Program is a very affordable program that is extremely profitable. It is Internet based that provides a real business that can truly generate thousands each and every month.
So what are all the costs involved?
IPC Software Package Including Resale Rights: $200.00 one-time payment
IPC Website and Training Access: $49.00 one-time payment
What about training and support: both are included
With the Independent Profit Center program, members get full access to the IPC training site which shows them everything they need to get their business online and generating sales within their first 24 hours. Once their business is setup and online, they are shown exactly where and how to promote their business so they can start receiving $200.00 for every sale their IPC website makes.
The IPC Program is not complicated like others, in fact all members do is follow a very simple 4 step success plan.
The Four (4) Steps To Success are:
Step 1 - Join The IPC Program & Complete Your Payments
Step 2 - Access The IPC Training Area
Step 3 - Set Up And Activate Your IPC Website
Step 4 - Follow The Step By Step Marketing Program
Conclusion
With The IPC Program, training and marketing system - earning a few thousand dollars a week is very easy to do even if people have absolutely no experience making money online. Once a person purchases their software package, they quickly see how simple the IPC business is to operate, and how obtaining this type of income is easier than most people believe.
If you are looking to make a serious income fast that continues to grow quickly, then The IPC Program may be the right business for you.
It almost guarantees success online. Many people are joining the Independent Profit Center for three simple reasons:
1. It's very affordable
2. It's extremely profitable
3. It works very fast to produce significant income
No other opportunity or compensation plan even compares to the Independent Profit Center opportunity. With IPC's business model average, normal , everyday people just like me are easily earning $8,000 and more in their first month of business. Incomes continue to grow larger and larger on a daily basis.

CREATIVE NEIGHBOURS: SAARC WRITINGS IN ENGLISH by dr. ram sharma

CREATIVE NEIGHBOURS: SAARC WRITINGS IN ENGLISH[Ed.] RAM BHAGWAN SINGH,TOWARDS FREEDOM PUBLICATION,KOLKATA,2007 A BOOK REVIEW BY Dr. Ram Sharma Senior Lecturer In English C-26,Shradhapuri, Phase2, Kankerkhera, Meerut Cantt-250001 Mobile-09219710874

Taking inspiration from Prof Shaileshwar Sati Prasad, formerly, Head, Dept of English, Patna University,Ram Bhagwan Singh explored a new field of SAARC writing in English. This seminal and highly original anthology contains nineteen articles of highly reputed scholars. In the prologue of the anthology the editor asserts ``SAARC`S political identity is founded on common cultural and historical background.Besides geographical proximity five of these eight countries have a common history of colonial subjugation and struggle for freedom----. Their literatures though in different languages celeberate the same composite Asian spirit and Eastern values. The current forces of globalization have egged them on to forge stronger ties for mutual co-operation and progressive interaction`` In the prologue the editor has provided information regarding literatures and writers of SAARC countries. In nutshell the editor has presented before us the literary scences of Bangladesh, Srilanka,Nepal, Bhutan, Maldiv, Afganistan etc. In the chapter first entitled`` Kazi Nazrul Islam: A Poet Extra-Ordinary, Samiram Kumar Paul has made us familiar with the biography and main works of Kazi Nazrul Islam. `` To know that Kazi Nazrul Islam is another great poet of Bengal, his most remarkable poem Agnee Veena[The Fire Fute] must be persued for clear common pursuit. The poem speaks of Nazrul`s poetic personality and magnanimity.`` The author has discussed his patriotic songs and his themes of courage, bravery, and sacrifices for human dignity, freedom and liberty. The author has assessed the literary contribution of Kazi Nazrul Islam in these words, `` He was a messenger of liberating the human spirit, of universal brotherhood, of courage and dignity,of peace and harmony among all, of unity and co-operation, of what is right and just, of what is true and beautiful, of love and compassion, of non dogmatism and non-fanaticism, he concluded the preface of the work that represented the biggest desire of his life by indentifying himself: Khademul Islam, Nazrul Islam`` In the second chapter entitled``Communalism and literature: Writings from Bangladesh Dr. Ram Bhagwan Singh has attempted some of the writings from Bangladesh in respect of communal reflections in literature. In the last part of this article the author describes Taslima Nasrin`s novel Lajja[1993], `` Though a work of fiction, Lajja can serve as documentation of contemporary social history in Bangladesh. It is said that in history names and dates are true, everything else is false, wheras in literature everything is true except the names and dates`` In chapter three entitled`` The Circle of Karma: Journeys of the Vagrant Spirit`` by V. P. Singh narrates Kunzang Choden`s first novel `The Circle of Karma` which belong to Bhutan, ``The Circle of Karma is not so much a feminist novel as a moving narrative of human suffering told with simplicity. Yet the nature of Tsomo`s suffering is typical of the lot of women in a patriarchal milieu where the father and husband are figures of authority who can emotionally and even physically roughshod women and get way with it`` In the fourth chapter entitled``The Balladry of the Bhutanese Lo- Zey: A Critique of the Ballad of Pemi Tshewang Tashi`` , the author Seema Murugan deals with a specific period in the history of Bhutan. The lozey, The Ballad of Pemi Tshewang Tashi is a special kind of Ballad. The language of this ballad is simple and story is told through dialogue and action. Chapter fifth entitled`` Contemporary Indian Fiction In English`` by Dr. R.S.Pathak is quite informative and in nutshell he described novelists like Ranga Rao, Arundhati Roy,P.V. Narasimha Rao, Salman Rushdie etc. In the sixth chapter entitled``Violence, Identity and Narrative, Dr. S.S.Prasad has raised multidimensional problems arising out of multiethnicity with the colonial heritage as it propagated and encouraged various identities also on the basis of language and religion. The author has discussed the novels of Gamini Salgado`s ` The True Paradise`, Carl Muller`s `Colombo` Bapsi Sidhwa` Ice Candy Mam`, Kiran Desai`s `The Inheritance of Loss`,.Razia Khan`s Bengali novel Draupadi. One of the most charming and informative article is by one of the brilliant scholar of English Literature Dr. S.K.Arora entitled``Decoding the Maldivian Milieu: A Note of the Maldivian Poetry in English. How to Write an Information Report and Market it so that People with Problems will Buy? by Raj Rishi

If you are an info-product creator and have not been able to make any money because you couldn't find buyers for your products, here is your chance to learn from Alexis Dawes who has been earning $200-$700 per day for the past more than five years. Just do the math for her monthly and annual income. Let us assume the average daily sale is $450. Multiplied by 30, the monthly income comes to $ 13,500. Multiplied again by 12, the annual figure comes out to huge $ 162,000. And mind she is only 30, by no means old enough to be labeled as a guru.

Her ebook Desperate Buyers Only reveals her secret of making money by finding the buyers who are desperate for the kind of information that they direly need and need it instantly too.

Her book explains" the great big info-product creation secret for attracting intensely rabid customers, that's not really a great big secret."

And who are these rabid buyers?

They are the "desperate people - people with throbbing problems, pressing issues, who buy on impulse because they're in an emotionally charged state-of-mind or state-of-being and they want to get out of it."

Her typical buyer is a person who had a sinus infection that kept him up at night, and wouldn't go away no matter what he did?

Her 6-page report on obtaining a checking account sells for $24.95 and she is making an average of $150-to-$250 a day in a market where several sites freely offer lists of 100+ non ChexSystem banks. They run their ads side by side to her Ad Word listings every, every single day.

She spends a ridiculous $20 a month on an average on her Ad Word advertising on Google. Here's a breakdown of her daily numbers: Price per click: $.04 Daily: $2.00-$4.00

Click thru ratio (the # of times her ad's are clicked on compared to the number of times it's shown): 5%-30%

Number of sales: 1-3 sales a day @ $24.95 each.

What should you NOT expect to find in her book?

Her book does not mention techniques on how to rank high for obscure keywords. Desperate Buyers Only is not an SEO guide for beginners.

There is no mumbo-jumbo about search engine optimization methods. This is not her expertise.

There is no talk about AdWords advertising.

Her technique of making money has nothing to do with getting a top 10 position for an AdWords advertisement or any other Pay Per Click search engine.

She does not explain 'black hat' techniques that are going to get you banned by the search engines.

1.She does not recommend you to submit your site to 50 million different directories.

2.NO getting link partners or using publicity tactics.

3.There is no talk about eBay, newsletters, blogs, RSS, or any other derivatives.

What does her book offer?

Her book offers techniques

1.to find free and sell high

2.to turn free apples into $5 apple juice

3.to compile insider secrets - even when you're on the outside to write insider secrets so readers ' get it, love it, and take action'

Desperate Buyers Only offers completely ethical tactics and techniques on how to make money online. Her techniques generate hard, cold cash every day using them to promote my sites. It is a 97-page book that can be finished one hour or so.

A word of caution:

Finding buyers for your info-products is easier said than done. If making money was that easy, everybody would make it. You require doing a lot of hard work to make money on the internet.

According to Alexis, you have to put in some brain power to make her techniques work for your specific situation. This book is not for lazy persons and duds who want results with no work. "If you want results with no work, then please don't order my information," she warns.

Price of Desperate Buyers Only: $77

The price of the ebook may appear to be on the high side, but its value lies in its worth to turn ordinary writers into master information creators. You can start earning thousands of dollars per month right away.

As an added bonus, you can avail free 30-minute consultation with Alexis, which can be much more rewarding than the pile of useless books that most authors offer to bribe the readers.

Above all you have a 60 day money back guarantee as well. For more information visit Desperate Buyers Only

Sex in the City? Try Sex in Chicago by Kale Ink

A story that commences in 1939 with a young child and ends in 1955 is the premise of the second novel by 74-year-old Mark Lichterman, a professional chimney sweep who also writes novels.

"Becoming" is a novel that will remind many of us of ourselves, way back when God's most mysterious creation was the opposite sex, says Lichterman.

It's a story "about life, and the often funny, often sad, day-to-day things that stir the memories of our lives," he says. "Remember when, as a people, we loved America and showed it? Then you might be ready for a nostalgic, funny, romantic, sexually frustrating novel."

The tale begins with young Mitchie in an ethnically diverse neighborhood on the west side of Chicago.

Lichterman guides the reader through Mitchie's formative years, when at age 16 he lies about his age and joins the National Guard, "'cause girls dig guys in uniform."

Soon getting caught up in the war in Korea, Mitchell's life unfolds in a series of nostalgic, comical, romantic, sad and funny sexual situations.

The story ends when Mitchell turns 21. And, just as in real life, the growth of the youth we see every day is so gradual that we do not notice the changes in them, so it is with Mitchell.

Local Chicago readers empathize with Mitchell and his growing pains.

"You just know that the author either lived next door or maybe on the next block, 'cause that's the way things were growing up in the late '30s, '40s and into the '50s," said David Wilkins of Newbury Park.

"There was no TV showing things or a computer to Google what a boy needs to know â€" it was just day-to-day wonderment and exasperation to face," Wilkins said. "The story was so close to my younger years that I started to bet myself that he would add other happenings of my life, and he sometimes did."

Bonnie Northcott of Westlake Village said Lichterman has a way of "making you feel everything his characters are going through... I wish this had been published when I was growing up, when times were much less threatening."

"Becoming" is also about growing up, and learning about how boys and girls come to terms with each other, said D.V. Cunningham of Westlake Village.

"But it's also accepting that your parents are human," Cunningham said. "These subjects will persevere until the end of time. Mark is very adept at revealing to women how their husbands and sons think. And it's nice to know that they are just as scared and inquisitive about us as we are about them."

Lichterman says he was inspired to write "Becoming" after he completed his first book, "The Climbing Boy." "I found that I really enjoyed writing... one word led to another and more than 22 years and 293,718 words later, not counting four complete rewrites, we have what I call semi-fiction, or faction."

He hopes that his work will inspire "the recall of youth, the remembrance of what so many of us forget over time."

Mark Lichterman is the author of Becoming, a novel about coming of age. It is set in Chicago but is universal in the issues it deals with. Find out more here => http://kale.110mb.com/Becoming/index.htm

What Women Want in a Magazine by Martin G Woodberry

Since the first women’s magazines were published in the early 1800’s, the market for them has been increasing at a steady rate. Women of today have a wide variety of interests, leading to multiple niches within the women’s magazine market as well as many general interest publications that cross genres. The original goal of women’s publications was to entertain and inform, so they naturally included stories, illustrations, witty sayings and bits of gossip. Tips on fashion, housekeeping and other domesticated pursuits were sprinkled throughout, and exhortations as to modest dress and conduct were common. These days, there is a demand for a wide array of topics. The fashion industry accounts for a large percentage of women’s magazines, featuring tips for hair and makeup as well as clothing. Several early fashion magazines still exist, and have been joined by modern publications focusing on the latest trends in designer clothing and haute couture. Magazines for housewives are still very much in demand, featuring recipes, cleaning tips and other housekeeping information such as product reviews and coupons. These are popular with women ranging in age from twenty to seventy, and make up another large segment of women’s publications. The pregnancy and parenting audience is huge, and there are multiple magazines that focus on babies, mothering and childrearing topics. Women are constantly looking for ways to improve their parenting skills, and the circulation for these magazines is quite large among the twenty to forty age group. Entertainment magazines often focus on the lives of the rich and famous, track celebrity news and contain information and opinions on the music, television and film industries. They are also intended for a wide audience, and are marketed heavily as impulse newsstand buys as well as being sold as subscription publications. Health, sports and fitness magazines for women have become popular, and various publications span a wide variety of demographics. Weight loss and diet are common topics, and magazines for older audiences focus heavily on healthy eating and breaking news in the medical field. General interest magazines are commonly aimed at a certain age or social demographic, and include informational articles ranging from fashion tips to relationship advice. Surveys or ‘tests’ are common, inspirational stories or interviews of famous people are frequent and there is usually a fair amount of material or comments submitted by the readership. Crossover between topics is common, with many celebrity magazines including fashion articles and vice versa. General interest publications will draw from all areas of interest, and career women’s magazines will include fashion, home and parenting tips along with advice for making it in the competitive workforce. Niche markets exist, such as publications aimed at minority female audiences or work at home mothers; finance magazines aimed at business women are becoming more popular, and certain television personalities publish their own magazines that reach a primarily female audience. As long as women continue to expand their range of interests, new opportunities will continue to develop for subscription publications. A good woman’s magazine will give her what she wants in every issue!

Why Should You Buy Your Kids Magazines? by Martin G Woodberry

Does your child have a short attention span? Have they outgrown ‘baby’ books, but just don’t have the patience for the long ones more suited to their reading level? Some children have trouble transitioning to chapter books because their memories aren’t developed enough to hang on to the information from the previous chapter when they come back to read the next one. The result is a disjointed experience which keeps them from enjoying the story. If you think this might be the case with your child, consider giving them another type of material to work with. The easy to digest chunks of information in kids’ magazines can make all the difference if your child struggles with keeping the storyline of a longer book straight from reading to reading. A magazine is designed to impart a certain amount of information in a relatively short time period, and can be a wonderful tool for improving reading comprehension. You should try to find magazines for your child that touch on points of interest. There are a wide array to choose from - some, such as Ranger Rick are appropriate for younger readers of both sexes, while others may prove more appealing to one gender than the other. American Girl is probably the most popular magazine for girls in the 8-12 age group for example, while boys in the same age bracket would probably prefer a subscription to Boys’ Life (the official magazine of the Boy Scouts) or perhaps a popular gaming magazine. If you order your subscriptions through a discount magazine subscription site, you can often bundle two or more publications together for even more savings, and afford to get a selection. This can be beneficial as it ensures the arrival of several new issues per month - a big plus if you have more then one child or if your child ends up being a voracious reader Children’s magazines have been around in abbreviated form for centuries - John Newbery published ‘Lilliputian’ in 1751, and the 1800’s saw a plethora of children’s ‘periodicals’, mostly printed and distributed as a manner of religious and scholarly instruction. These were followed by the notorious penny dreadfuls that included lurid engravings along with the shockingly vulgar text. Children’s magazines from the last century have striven for a balance between the instructive and the entertaining. There are two magazines from the mid twentieth century that have withstood the test of time - Highlights was first published in 1946, and Cricket Magazine followed in 1973. Both have played the host to such renowned authors as Beverly Cleary, Lloyd Alexander and illustrators including Tomie dePaola and Eric Carle. The best thing about children’s magazines is their relative cheapness and the fact that the child can feel a sense of ownership that might be lacking in books borrowed from the library. Having each issue show up in the mailbox addressed solely to them can be a real treat and make the reading of it even more enjoyable. By offering a variety, you ensure that they will always have something to read whatever their mood!

Magician: Master by Raymond Feist - Book Review by Will Kalif

This book is the second book in Feist's Riftwar Saga (the first book is Magician: Apprentice) and in this book we see not only the transformation of our main character from apprentice to master but we also see this same transformation in Feist's writing. The tone, texture, and richness of this novel is significantly different than the first book. In this book Feist builds us a big world and takes us for a grand adventure. He opens up two worlds for us and introduces us to a lot of new characters and a very big story. In this volume Feist also goes from Apprentice to Master.

There are four books in this series. The first is Magician: Apprentice, the second is Magician: Master, the third is Silverthorn and the final book is A Darkness at Sethanon. This is the current version but there is an earlier version that combines the first two volumes and it is simply entitled: Magician. This single version of the first two novels is uncommon. As Feist's writing gained in popularity the publishers split up that first book into two volumes and reprinted them.

The Basic Premise of the series

The plotline of the series of books is that a rift is opened up between two worlds and through this rift people and things can pass. A warrior empire is using this rift to conquer the world of our main characters which is called Midkemia and the main characters are Pug (a magician in training) and Tomas (an aspiring warrior). The setting is very much high medieval period with kings, castles, dwarves, elves, magicians, and much of the expected epic fantasy fare.

This second book begins about four years after the second book and one of the unique things about it is that we spend a fair amount of time on the other world which is named Kelewan. That world too is also very much high medieval Europe but of course with its own customs and idiosyncrasies. One thing of note is that horses are totally alien to their world which creates some nice side developments in the story.

I approached this shifting to the other world with some trepidation because, after all, they are the bad guys and I don't really want to get to know them! But, it works extremely well and this shifting gives us some really good (and necessary) developments in the story.

Overall perception and analysis

This book is substantially different than the first one. We go from a pretty straight-forward epic fantasy theme to something that is significantly more textured and rich. It feels like there might have been four years of Feist's writing skill development between the first and second book. The first book was more about introducing us to the characters and the story and this second book takes a bigger and more ambitious look by introducing us to the two worlds involved. It's ambitious and it works well. There are some outstanding dramatic scenes and events that really leave an impression.

A Mild Criticism

This book deals with two worlds. And each world is complete with its own politics, empires, barons, blood lines, warlords, and all the requisite political maneuverings for power and wealth. This political infighting means that it gets a bit complex at times. A lot of different characters are introduced and sometimes this gets to be a bit too complicated for my taste.

Conclusion

Something really great about this book is that it and the first magician book can be read as a satisfying single work without having to continue through more books in the series. This book brings about a conclusion to the story begun in book one. And, one of the things that I like best about this book is that once we come to our dramatic conclusion we don't find our characters sitting under a tree and living happily ever after. There is another forty or so pages that draw us further into some interesting developments which of course draw us into the next novel. If you are looking for a new world to explore and a new series to sink your teeth into the Riftwar books are an excellent choice. There are currently over twenty books that take place in the Riftwar series and the latest book was released in early 2008 (Wrath of a Mad God). And a new series begins with the release of Rides a Dread Legion in early 2009.

Barack Obama"The shining pole star of the contemporary American politics by Raisa Raima

Barack Obama, the new star on the American political scene, was born in the province of Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. His father, Barack Obama Sr., was born and brought up in a small village in Kenya, where he spent his days herding goats in the company of his father, who in turn was a domestic servant to the British colonisers.

His mother, Ann Dunham, on the other hand grew up in the small-town locality of Kansas. Her father was a worker in the oil rigs during the days of Depression in the 30's; and then enrolled himself for World War II after the nationalistically percussive Pearl Harbor incident. There he marched across the whole of Europe in Patton's army. While her mother went on to work in a bomber assembly line. After the war, they got their education in the G.I. Bill, purchased a house with the help of Federal Housing Program, and moved west to settle in Hawaii.

In fact it has been the richly varied experiences of Barack Obama's life--growing up at different places in the company of those people who had differing opinions-- that have animated as well as facilitated his political journey which has almost taken him to the forefront of greatest political glory in the world. Pleasantly embroiled in the tentative partisanship and bickering of today's public debate, the new political star still believes in the capability to unite all people of all castes, creeds and classes around a mammoth and powerful focus of 'politics of purpose'--a brand of politics that puts resolving of the challenges of common Americans ahead of partisan politics and narrow-minded gains.

While in the Illinois State Senate, it meant working constructively with both the Democrats and Republicans to help the working families move on by creating plans like the State Earned Income Tax Credit, which in a span of three years bestowed over $100 million in tax cuts to the really needy families across the state. Following the path of political prudence, he also successfully saw through the expansion of early childhood education; and once a number of inmates on death sentence were found to be innocent, Senator Obama collaborated with the law enforcement officials to make it mandatory for the videotaping of all the interrogations and confessions in most of the capital cases.

Working very diligently in the U.S. Senate, he focused on squaring up to the challenges of a globalized society in the 21st century using fresh thinking and a type of politics that no longer aims for the lowest common denominator of narrow and parochial demands. His first and most important law was cleared with Republican Tom Coburn. It dealt with a measure to reconstruct trust in the government by enabling every American to go online and watch how and on what every part of their tax dollars is spent. He has also been the leading voice in championing the cause of ethics reform that rooted out Jack Abramoff-type corruption in the Congress.

Barack Obama The New Face of American by Martin Dupuis And Keith Boeckelman is a great book capturing the politically active masterful saga of the great politician. It is really a fantastic tribute to the pre-eminent political personality of the current times.

Poisoned Petals by Andy Crabb by Philip Spires

Poisoned Petals by Andy Crabb is a set of over forty short stories, tales with a Spanish flavour. Most are set in Spain, with many featuring locations and people from within the Costa Blanca, where the author lives, works and continually observes. Some are historical, others utterly contemporary, both in time and in content. Property developers, estate agents and used car salesmen figure alongside more traditional Spanish figures, such as the bar owner, the peasant farmer and the land owner. Some stories feature characters from Spain’s Moorish period, and others pre-Visigoth, even pre-Roman Iberians.

It is surprising, therefore, to read in the highly informative author’s postscript that several of the pieces germinated elsewhere, in Britain and southern Africa, for instance. Some were transplanted items from newspaper stories, while others arose from museum visits, local tales or shared discussion with other writers. But the stories grew in Andy Crabb’s fertile imagination and bloomed into a veritable display of skilful, entertaining writing. The fact that the author claims they eventually flowered into Poisoned Petals gives the reader a hint from the start that irony and twist will play their part.

Many of Andy Crabb’s stories deal with the sibling concepts of revenge and retribution. People are often “getting away with something”, getting one up on an innocent or unsuspecting victim. Driven to anger by such perfidious exploitation, these inherently gentler, law-abiding characters themselves become vengeful, calculating deceivers, until the score is decisively settled. In often morally satisfying conclusions, many of the original villains receive a comeuppance that is significantly sweeter than mere defeat, longer lasting than simple victory. And each of these conclusions has been richly deserved.

In Preserved For Posterity, for instance, the retribution of the wronged husband is horrid in the extreme. But then the unjustly punished lover-thief-craftsman of the story was never really guilty of his accused crime. We know that. But then that’s perhaps why he has the final, though silent, laugh at the judgment of eternity.

So it is ideas of morality and justice, honesty and loyalty that suffuse Poisoned Petals. We are presented with people who try to ride roughshod over others, whose understandable, merely human hesitancy, born of their desire to uphold and respect another’s potential for dignity, identifies them as potential prey. Usually the victims win through in the end, turning the tables decisively on their predators. But this often happens only after the victims, themselves, have displayed their ability to become, if provoked, as devious, as base, as calculating and, indeed, as mercenary as the objects of their retribution.

And so Poisoned Petals gives some beautiful insights into human behaviour, some vivid illustrations of resourcefulness. It is a collection to read over a week or two, a few stories at a time, since each is self-contained and memorable. The stories provoke us to reflect on that human condition, and profitably, enjoyably so.

New Book Sells Suffering Due To Sales Of Used Books by Victor Epand

It seems the on-line sales for used books may be harming the publishing industry, or at least that is what publishing companies are claiming. However, there are some individuals in the publishing industry that feel this is not necessarily the absolutely true.

It is true that used book sales are continuing to grow, especially with the hundreds of on-line web sites that are now currently available that specialize in used and new book sales. When individuals are given a choice of purchasing a used book or a new book of the same title it is wonder they are purchasing the used book more and more. One reason for new book sales being down could be due to the economy being slow at the moment, but some analysts feel that used book sales are slowly starting to edge their way into the sales of new books.

Consumer surveys reported that used book purchases increased ten percent from 2003 to 2002 from book stores, and during the same period Internet sales on used books increased six percent. Since then used books have continued to increase, especially more so with Internet sales. The increase of Internet sales is contributed to web sites offering used books right along side of the same version of a new book, but at a cheaper price. Book web sites have become so competitive with one another that book search engines are now available where consumers can be given the cheapest price for what ever book criteria they desire.

These web sites are able to offer their used and new books cheaper due to not having to deal with the overhead that retail book stores and used books have to deal with. Web sites have the advantage of offering used books or new books cheaper due to the profit margin being so small. Anyone within the used book industry has the ability to take a little off the top of each level, but the competition among web site book retailers has become the vision of the future for all used book sellers. Individuals have found that navigating through these web sites is becoming easier every day with the technology of search engines being developed.

Individuals have learned that by studying the listings they are more than able to come up with an average price for a book that is based upon its condition. Individuals learn that by paying a fair price they can get a bargain with used books at these reputable web sites. The only problem with these low cost used books and even new books at a lower cost really is that the majority of these web sites will get individuals with the shipping and handling charges. This will especially apply if the book happens to come from over seas due to it having to it having to be imported.

With new and improved search engine tools web sites are able to get five hundred percent more clicks with an increase in sales overall that has been proven to reach up to four hundred percent in used and new book sales. Of course, the web site does have to be in a prominent position to have that much of an impact on the book industry, but it can be achieved. One such web site attributes its increase in sales to newer search engines.

Used Books Out Weigh The Cost Of New Books by Victor Epand

With the rising cost of printing and publishing, people are finding that used books have a new appeal that they did not see before. Of course, this partially due to the cost of the new books costing so much for avid readers who enjoy reading more than they do the cost of the books themselves.

Students have purchased used books to help with the growing cost of college for decades, and these books that are used by students usually end right back up at either a campus books store or a local used book store. There stores are constantly purchasing college text books from students, because there are always a new set of students looking for them during the next semester. This also helps to keep these textbooks in circulation, which bridges a gap between those who need to purchase the books and those who need to dispose of them.

When a student is faced with purchasing a new book or a used book of the same edition, then the best solution for them is to purchase the used book. This is simply because the used book will save them at least thirty percent depending upon where the book is purchased at. One tip that students need to be aware of is that will probably be cheaper for them to purchase their used books from a local used book store rather than from the campus book store. The most popular used books sold at used book stores are college text books by the way.

Used book stores will often have a variety of publications available to choose from, which will please just about any avid reader and their pockets as well. The biggest advantage to used book stores are their extremely low prices, while the next advantage is their wide selection of books available to choose from. The variety of books available may range from poetry to westerns to romance to history. There are many avid readers that enjoy taking the time just to spend browsing through the selection of books to see what treasures they may find.

Purchasing a used book is not like purchasing a pair of jeans from a thrift store or a truck from a used car lot, which might have problems that you are not aware of. The jeans may be irregular and the car more than likely might have had engine problems. With used books you know exactly what you are getting, because you are able to see if the pages are yellowed or worn and if the cover has been torn. The most important thing about a used book is that you are able to read it, correct? At some older and smaller used book stores the books themselves might contain that old, musty smell, which some individuals associate with pleasant childhood memories once forgotten.

Being in college and trying to find the same text book that forty to fifty other students are trying to purchase can be troublesome. That is why instead of purchasing an eighth edition Psychology text book used students will purchase a seventh or even a sixth edition. Every thing in the book is basically the same and the younger editions will cost a great deal less as well. Students will do anything they can to keep from having to purchase new text books simply because the price of the new books are simply too expensive.

Creating ebooks using other writer's skills. by raman chauhan

Creating ebooks using other writer's skills. Selling products online has become very lucrative for many netpreneurs. Ebooks and special reports are amongst the most popular type of downloadable products. These files in written form, can be very useful when they convey desireable information.

Indeed, information is what fuels the internet. People log online to search for information. If you have the information they need, they will come to you. If this information holds a lot of value, you could sell the same and make a good profit. Since words are still the primary tools of communication on the web, information is often conveyed in written form.

Preparing written works is not easy. For starters, not everyone can write well. Those who can may not take the time to embark on such an undertaking.

Fortunately, there are some alternative routes you can take which will allow you to prepare your own eBook or special report without having to write down a single word. Let's take a look at 5 of these options.

Gather some articles and compile them in a single volume. This would be the easiest way to prepare your own digital product. These articles can be PLR works which grant you the right to alter them and use the content anyway you please. They may be articles written by other people, which you have compiled from renowned websites like ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com. If you choose the latter, just make sure that you respect the terms and conditions of their usage, primary of which is the inclusion of the original author's resource box. Make sure that each article organically and logically flows to the next. You can ensure this by studying the articles you want to include.

Conduct an interview with an expert and record the same. Thereafter, hire someone from rentacoder.com, elance.com or guru.com to transcribe the conversation you had with the said expert. You'd be surprised how quickly you can compile 50 to 200 pages worth of essential reading material using this method.

Buy an existing eBook or special report that comes with private label rights. This would enable you to alter the contents of the same, and even name yourself as the author of the work. You could add some materials as you feel are necessary, or better yet, you could combine two, three, or even ten of these PLR eBooks or special reports to come up with an encyclopedic tome of information worthy of some notice.

Hire a ghostwriter to prepare an eBook or a special report for you. There are many freelance writers looking for work at the websites we mentioned above. It's just a matter of selecting the best writer for the job at a price that will not be too daunting to your budget. Expect to pay $200 to $1,000 for a 50 page eBook.

Here's a novel approach. Join an internet marketing forum, and ask a question. A good example would be "How Could You Profit From The Internet With A $0 Budget." For certain, you'll get some amazingly enlightening replies. Compile these replies until you'll have enough materials to come up with an eBook or a special report. Ask the posters' permission to avoid any copyright issues. Chances are, they'll agree, provided that a link to their respective websites are included in your work.

Lack of writing prowess, or the time to write, is never a bar for the production of your own digital products. All you need is a little imagination, and hopefully, the suggestions above have stirred up some concepts in your mind.
